Inter-Terminal Shuttle Service
As a service to our customers with mobility limitations, including families with small children and luggage, a courtesy Special Needs Shuttle is available every day from 6 am to 10 pm between terminals as an alternative to light rail.
At the Humphrey Terminal, the shuttle picks up and drops off passengers on the ground level of the Purple parking ramp. At the Lindbergh Terminal, passengers are dropped off and picked up at the Transit Center.
Car Rentals
Rental cars with hand controls are available from airport car rental agencies at no extra charge. Rental companies request a 48-hour or longer advance reservation.
Public Bus Service - Metro Transit
Metro Transit bus route #54 stops at the Lindbergh Terminal Transit Center and is accessible per ADA requirements. For citywide route information and schedules, call 612-373-3333 or visit www.metrotransit.org.
Light Rail Service - Metro Transit
Light rail service to the airport is available. Trains stop at both the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals and connect travelers to 15 other destinations, including downtown Minneapolis to the north and the Mall of America to the south. Light rail trains are zero-clearance to allow ease of boarding and exiting.
The Lindbergh Terminal light rail station is located on the lowest level of the Transit Center. Upon arrival by light rail, take the escalators or elevators up to the appropriate level to access ground transportation, security checkpoints, gates and other services, including car rentals.
At the Humphrey Terminal, trains stop at a station adjacent to the Orange parking ramp. Upon arrival by light rail, take the escalators or elevators up one level to Level 2 of the parking ramp. Follow the overhead signs and take the walkway through the parking facilities to access the Humphrey Terminal and ground transportation.
Taxi Service and Shuttles
Taxi and commercial vehicles will pick up and drop off passengers at curbside if prior arrangements have been made.
Taxi service courtesy phones for people needing assistance are located in the Lindbergh Terminal on the Baggage Claim Level near carousels 6 and 10. Or call one of the taxi service providers listed below to arrange for curbside service:

Shuttle buses, taxis and limousines also are available one level up from Level T in the Ground Transportation Atrium at the Lindbergh Terminal or in the Ground Transport Center at the Humphrey Terminal.
