MSP International Airport

Humphrey Terminal

A new Humphrey Terminal opened in May 2001, replacing the former charter terminal of the same name. The new facility boasted eight gates when it opened and was expanded to 10 gates in December 2004.

The Humphrey Terminal offers common use airline accommodations, meaning the ticket counters, gates and computer equipment can be used by any airline. Common-use design increases the terminal's operational flexibility and makes it easier to accommodate airline service needs.

In 2002, a 4,700-space parking ramp opened across the street from the terminal. The parking facility attaches to the terminal via skyway, enabling travelers to walk from their vehicle to their airline gate without going outdoors.  A second ramp is planned in coming years between the existing ramp and the light rail station.

The Humphrey Terminal features a full-service restaurant, retail shops, a business center, children's play area and an International Arrivals facility.

Through the airport's 20/20 Vision expansion plan, the terminal could expand to as many as 29 gates by the year 2020.
