As the Field Maintenance Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping airport facilities and fleet services running safely and efficiently every day. In this dynamic position, you’ll lead a dedicated team, manage airside and landside maintenance, support snow and emergency response operations, and help shape the future of field and fleet operations. Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Field Maintenance, the Field Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations of all airport airside, landside, and facilities and fleet operations, including runways, taxiways, ramp areas, roadways, parking and turf areas, walks, drainage systems, fences, signs, and buildings. Field Maintenance Operations Managers oversee the creation and implementation of field maintenance and fleet operations practices and work procedures by identifying, assessing, and facilitating airport field maintenance and fleet priorities, participating in vehicle and equipment procurement, coordinating work efforts with other airport departments, and advising/directing field maintenance duty and assistant managers in a wide range of labor, performance, and administrative activities. Field Maintenance Operations Managers supervise and direct the work of assigned staff, assign duties and hours of work, and delegate minor supervisory authority and responsibilities to subordinates. Field Maintenance Operations Managers conduct inspections and prepare reports. General work plans and policies are determined in conference with department leadership. Field Maintenance Operations Managers assist the Assistant Director, Field Maintenance in the performance of all designated job functions and may be assigned to assume full responsibility of the Assistant Director’s functions in the absence of the Assistant Director. Field Maintenance Operations Managers are subject to call-in in the event of any emergency condition, including snow and ice control operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
There are two current vacancies for Field Maintenance Operations Manager: one position will be assigned to days, generally working Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and one position will be assigned to nights, generally working Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Note that these schedules are subject to change based on operational needs.
This is a safety-sensitive position which will require a pre-employment drug screen.
This position is eligible for variable incentive pay of 0-10% of total compensation depending on annual organizational performance. Some eligibility requirements apply.
