LSG Sky Chefs is looking for a skilled candidate with a minimum five years' experience on industrial food equipment with solid knowledge on general machinery, basic plumbing, basic refrigeration and electrical technology. Candidate must have a strong organizational skills, working knowledge in mechanical installation and food equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Ensuring equipment integrity and timely repair.
  • Effectively administer and support the PM program for the plant while keeping downtime to a minimum.
  • Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make needed repairs on equipment.
  • Generate work orders and follow up to complete assigned work orders. Candidate should use tracking system for work orders.
  • Ensure all work assignments are completed and records are maintained.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for building materials and services.
  • Perform monthly inspections of fire extinguishers in the building.
  • Serve as a company contact for maintenance related suppliers.
  • Actively participate in the Safety Committee to support the safety program.
  • Perform daily walks thru the building to ensure facilities are in the best possible condition.
  • Support major building projects.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities related to audits.
  • Perform monthly safety audits on maintenance area.

Must be able to obtain and retain airport security clearance & pass company background & drug test

Skills & abilities:
  • Strong operational background and hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical and production equipment repair (Handy Man).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals & technical drawings.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paces, demanding environment.
  • Be dependable / reliable and follow through on commitments, producing timely work to required- or higher-standards, and pitching in to get the job completed.
  • Be attentive to detail and monitoring adherence to company standards.
  • Basic plumbing knowledge and experience desired.
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge and experience desired.
Education & experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Technical degree diploma Required. (HVAC and Special Boiler)
  • 5 years minimum on industrial food equipment experience required (wrapping machines, conveyors, meat slicers, dish machines, ice machines).
