The XpresSpa Spa Technician plays a vital role in the guests flow within the spa. They can be the customer’s first point of contact in our spas and possess a strong knowledge of all treatments and services offered. To deliver the highest level of customer service they must know products, communicate the features and benefits, explain treatments and services effectively.

Our spas are active and require a knowledgeable person to understand the needs of our customers and pair them with the appropriate service/treatment. Ideal candidates can think quickly on their feet, deal with multiple tasks and yet always keep the needs of the customer first and foremost. They will greet and engage our customers.

During the check-in/check-out process, the Spa Technician informs customer of our services, upsells treatments, explains membership program and educates customer on retail products. They also support our Spa Manager on Duty and/or Spa Concierge to ensure our customers are consistently treated to an impeccable customer service experience, and that the operations run smoothly.

Major Responsibilities

Customer Experience

  • Provide best in class customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and excellent floor leadership skills – own and manage the sales floor.
  • Assist in creating an outstanding experience for the customer (i.e., pampered to perfection, customers are greeted in a professional, friendly and timely manner).
  • Protect other employees and customers by providing a safe and clean spa environment and general spa maintenance.
  • Answer spa phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.


  • Assist spa team to maximize results through selling retail products.
  • Upsell treatments and educate customer on retail products.


  • Work as a team, making sure you assist in the clean-up keep of the spa and the items needed to complete services.
  • Understands and upkeeps license according to state regulations.
  • Help Spa Manager maintain positive employee relations through open and effective communication with team.


  • Ability to complete cashiering functions including ringing up sales and service transactions.
  • Utilize the client rotation sheet in guidelines directed by company.
  • Open and close store as needed.
  • Assist with inventory control and restocking of products.
  • Assist with maintain visual standards, merchandising presentation, signage and lighting.
  • Additional duties assigned.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience working at a cosmetics sale’s environment.
  • License in Massage Therapy, Cosmetology, Nail Technology, Salon Management or Aesthetics.
