The Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking two customer-focused, team players to fill positions that serve as a first point of contact in our Terminal Operations Department at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Each position provides coverage four days a week at our Terminal 2 facility. Come and join a customer-oriented team in a dynamic working environment where no two days are the same.

These positions provide excellent customer service to our airline and tenant partners while being responsible for the allocation, coordination, and tracking of MAC's common-use terminal assets and related equipment.  Answers incoming service calls and responds to other requests for assistance; is the initial point of contact and on-site response for irregular operations and maintenance support; coordinates corrective actions with appropriate parties; frequently communicates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders; provides a variety of user/tenant services as assigned.
 
The ideal candidates have a great blend of strong technical and interpersonal skills; likes learning new technology and processes; effectively multi-tasks; remains calm under stressful situations; enjoys creative problem solving; and excels at communicating with internal and external stakeholders.  You will use your multi-tasking skills as flight activity is monitored, facility issues are resolved, phones ring, radios call, video is reviewed, etc., while still providing outstanding customer service.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or related field – OR – in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma/GED and work experience at a commercial service airport performing functions of a similar nature
  • Demonstrates proficiency in written and verbal communications using the English language
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong technical skills sufficient to learn/implement a variety of unique software applications 
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team under stressful situations 
  • Ability to perform inspections indoors and outdoors which requires the use of stairs
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 
  • Ability to resolve conflicts effectively 
  • Flexibility to work different shifts/hours and overtime as assigned/needed
Desirable Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related field
  • Experience involving active monitoring or control of airport/airline operations activity
  • Experience using computerized Resource Management System(s)
  • Facilities management experience which may include responsibility for baggage systems, elevators, doors, escalators, and cleaning
  • Experience using facility management software 
  • Completed National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) courses: IS-700, IS-800, ICS-100, and ICS-200
  • Working knowledge of applicable DOT and FAA regulations for airports
  • Experience utilizing video surveillance system(s)
