MSP Airport’s employee recognition programs recently received an award from Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA), which is the airport industry’s leading trade group.
The award is evidence that exceeding customer expectations begins with airport employees who are not only trained well, but meaningfully recognized for their efforts.
One of the airport’s initiatives is MSP’s Customer Service Action Council (CSAC), which brings together the entire airport team – including TSA, the airlines, concessionaires and other service providers – to analyze our results of polled passengers. The council also reviews current initiatives and creates engaging, personalized recognition programs.
CSAC runs one of our most popular programs -- “MSP Nice” -- which allows a manager to recognize an employee on the spot with a voucher for free goods. Also, unsolicited compliments about employees generate a $25 gift card and an invitation to an annual celebration, and an annual hero award that provides $1,000 to the recipient.
