Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Air Canada Station Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of Air Canada at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). This position provides leadership for all station personnel while ensuring compliance with airline, airport, regulatory, and company policies. The Station Manager is accountable for operational performance, customer satisfaction, employee development, safety, and maintaining the high service standards established by Air Canada.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate all Air Canada business to internal and external departments and customers
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Maintain and promote a safe environment for employees, customers and aircraft
- Liaise with local contracts providing service to Air Canada (i.e., fueling, deicing, wheelchair service)
- Interact with Air Canada employees, customers, service providers, vendors, regulatory agencies and airport personnel
- Complete all required airline and vendor reports
- Comply with all regulatory procedures and directives
- Lead station team to ensure compliance of all customer service, baggage handling and departure procedures. Analyze performance and verify quality control, implementing appropriate measures as necessary to meet established station goals.
- Resolve service issues in a timely manner with tact and diplomacy
- Responsible for proactively managing safety, security processes and procedures
- Create and maintain a positive culture by managing the performance and development of employees
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Understand contract requirements and customer expectations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years supervisory experience
- College degree preferred
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check
- Excellent leadership and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic
- Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces
- Extensive airport operational experience
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends or irregular shifts, holidays
- Subject to non-DOT drug and/or alcohol testing
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
