Portal Lounge, a next-generation airport lounge by Gameway, is hiring a full-time Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support operations at our MSP airport location.
This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting daily lounge operations, leading shifts, developing team members, and ensuring every guest has a best-in-class experience. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to drive performance, maintain high standards, and build a fun, high-energy environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Support daily lounge operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Serve as Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations

Lead, coach, and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment

Provide real-time feedback to employees to maintain service and performance standards

Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
-
Support sales initiatives and help drive revenue through strong execution
-
Monitor staffing levels and assist with scheduling and labor efficiency
-
Resolve guest concerns promptly and escalate complex issues when needed
-
Ensure compliance with company policies, airport regulations, and safety standards
-
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and brand presentation across the lounge

Support inventory management, audits, and supply organization
-
Assist with ordering, invoice review, and operational purchasing
-
Help maintain equipment and technology by troubleshooting and escalating issues
-
Support implementation of company initiatives and operational improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment environments

Experience working in fast-paced, guest-focused settings
-
Experience working in or overseeing both front and back of house

Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to motivate and support team members on the floor

Fueled by a burning desire to grow and level up with the company

High level of customer service with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences

Energetic, positive, and adaptable under pressure

Basic understanding of sales performance and operational metrics

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s or higher degree in business, hospitality, or related field

Experience working with both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams

Experience in airport or high-volume hospitality environments

Experience supporting new location opening

Demonstrated interest in gaming culture, with up-to-date understanding of video game trends, platforms, and gaming technology
Compensation:
-
Pay: $60,000 – 70,000 annually
Schedule:
-
Full-time, approx. 45 hours per week; weekday schedule varies according to the organization’s needs and lounge performance. Weekends and holiday availability are required, just in case.
