Wheelchairs

Airport Wheelchair Pusher

Airlines provide wheelchairs for use throughout both terminals. Request a wheelchair when you make your flight reservation. Most airlines have information about wheelchair access and other services on their websites or through their reservations systems.

If you are being dropped off at Terminal 1 and require wheelchair assistance, please request to be dropped off on the Ticketing Level, Door 3 if you are flying with Delta Air Lines, Door 2 for all other airlines.

If you arrive at the airport without making arrangements for a wheelchair through your airline, one may be available for checkout at the information booth on Level T at Terminal 1 or you may ask an airline representative for assistance when you arrive.

Electric Carts

Electric carts are available past security at Terminal 1, on concourses C through G and in the Airport Mall, to transport passengers with special needs. Note: access to Concourses A and B is via wheelchair only.

This service is provided by different companies, depending on which airline you're flying.

  • Delta Air Lines is serviced by Prospect Airport Services.
  • G2 services Spirit, United, American and Alaska airlines.

A "cart stop" system has been implemented to provide the most efficient electric cart service to the traveling public. Cart stops are clearly marked with signs above chairs imprinted with a wheelchair icon. Electric carts pick up passengers every 10 to 15 minutes. You will find cart stops directly inside security and at every gate along concourses C, D, E, F and G. Consult your airline for services elsewhere.

Carts cannot go into congested areas and are required to drive at walking speed for safety.

Please be sure to ask your cart driver if they are heading your way before getting onto a cart. Electric cart service is not available at Terminal 2.

Accessible Restrooms

Most restrooms at MSP have at least one accessible extra-wide stall equipped with side grab bars.

Three restrooms with adult changing tables are available at Terminal 1. These restrooms can be found on Concourse D near the Traveler's Assistance main office, on Concourse G near gate G17, and pre-security on Arrivals — near Baggage Carousel 6. Note that both the Concourse G and Arrivals restrooms are also equipped with a hoist in addition to the adult change tables. These specialty restrooms are labeled on our Accessibility Services Map

Single-Use Restrooms

Single-use restrooms are located throughout both terminals. Consult a directory or information booth for the nearest location.
