On-Airport Car Rentals
Rental cars can be returned to either terminal — all on-airport rental car companies have counters at both terminals.
Terminal 1
On-airport rental car counters at Terminal 1 are located on the ground level of the Silver Parking Ramp. Passengers can take the underground tram to the ramp and follow the wayfinding signs to the rental area.

Airlines provide wheelchairs for use throughout both terminals. Request a wheelchair when you make your flight reservation. Most airlines have information about wheelchair access and other services on their websites or through their reservations systems.
We recommend adding an additional 30-45 minutes for rental car return to minimize risk of delays in either terminal.
Directions to Terminal 1 from Terminal 2: Upon exiting Terminal 2 by car, take a right on 34th Avenue S to MN-5 East. Follow MN-5 east toward Glumack Dr., then take the exit for Terminal 1.
Directions to Terminal 2 from Terminal 1: While exiting Terminal 1 by car, use the right two lanes to merge onto MN-5 West via the ramp towards 494/Bloomington, then take the 34th Avenue exit for Terminal 2 and keep right.
Concession Recovery Fee (11.11%): The rental auto company’s fee for their use of the airport facilities.
MN Registration Fee (5%): A State of Minnesota fee imposed on vehicle rentals of 28 days or fewer.
MN Rental Car Tax (9.20%): A State of Minnesota motor vehicle rental tax.
Rental Auto Facility Charge ($5.90/day): A per-day charge applicable to all customers to provide on-airport facilities for the traveling public as part of the parking structure or in other airport locations.
MN Sales Tax (8.25%): General State of Minnesota sales tax.
