Pay: $22.00/hr. - $25.00/hr.
The operations coordinator is responsible for monitoring all activities required for a successful and time-efficient aircraft turn around. The operations coordinator ensures all ramp and cabin timings are followed or disruptions are mitigated to ensure safe and secure handling of flights.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for coordination of flight turn arounds
- Communicate via air to ground with pilots
- Relay emergency information to airport or airline authorities, or emergency services
- Ensure all measures are taken to safe and secure operations
- Organize and plan the aircraft turn around and proactively ensure activities are performed in a safe and timely manner
- Compliance to procedures and agreements
- Planning and problem solving
- Report irregularities, incidents and discrepancies
- Ensure the aircraft load complies with the loading instructions and that the load is reconciled with details on the aircraft load sheet
- Plan and coordinate post departure reconciliation
- Monitor and communicate aircraft arrivals and departures
- Ensure information regarding the status of the flight is effectively communicated to all departments in a timely and proactive manner
- Responsible for the accuracy and completion of all documents related to the flight file
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous airline/aviation operational knowledge preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethics and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
- Subject to non-DOT drug and/or alcohol testing
