A Passenger Service Supervisor coordinates and directs Passenger Service Agents and ensures an efficient passenger check-in and arrival experience. The supervisor is responsible for training, coaching and scheduling staff on duty. Supervisors work directly with TSA and airport and airline leadership to promote the safety and security of passengers and staff. Supervisors enforce all company and regulatory policies to promote a pleasant customer experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Agents with all passenger processing functions
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations
  • Coordinate between each assigned carrier to ensure that service meets the needs of the carrier and on-time schedules are met
  • Deliver classroom and on-the-job training  
  • Follow and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier rules and regulations
  • Be a liaison with the TSA, airport police/fire, CBP and other agencies
  • Assist HR and Managers with employee coaching and development and time and attendance
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback to Managers
  • Become the key resource for communication and processing for all airline functions
  • Help arrivals with jet bridge operation, passenger egress doors
  • Assist with all US Customs processing functions
  • Identify and report any abnormal operational complexities and prepare any safety reports
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures are conducted in a fair, timely, and consistent manner
  • Promote a safety-first mentality and safety reporting
  • Able to perform under pressure with time constraints
  • Become GSC qualified
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED and some college preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check
  • 2+ year of relevant experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
  • Ability to walk, stand and bend on a frequent basis and for extended periods
