Per Minnesota Statute 626.8473, the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport Police Department (MSP APD) is required to develop a policy for the use of body-worn cameras (BWC). Agencies must also provide for public comment and input and post the written policy and its intent to implement a BWC program on their websites before body-worn cameras can be used in the field.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Police Department is in the midst of establishing a Body-Worn Camera policy and program. The department advertised and solicited comments on its draft policy between July 15 and August 16, 2021.

Update 2/4/22:

The department has completed its evaluation of public comments and adopted Policy #450. It has also chosen an equipment vendor. Click on this link to view the final policy.
