Airport Lost and Found
The airport’s Lost and Found office is located on the valet level of Terminal 1, which is a lower level in the middle of the terminal. Take the elevators located in the middle of the ticketing or baggage claim level down to the valet level, and turn left to find Lost and Found. (Standard hourly airport parking rates apply.)
Hours: Open 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
If you lost property in the MSP Airport -- including at a TSA security checkpoint -- please submit an online report by clicking the link below. To increase the chances that we can identify your item, please add as much descriptive information as possible to your report. The serial number is particularly useful if you lost an electronic device, as many items look alike.
Given the volume of lost and found cases, we will only be able to actively search for your lost item for 30 days, at which time an email notification will be sent that the lost and found report has closed.
The MSP Lost and Found office can also be reached during operation hours at 612-726-5141, but please try the online link first.
Other steps you can take to locate your lost item
- If you suspect that your lost item has been stolen, please contact the MSP Airport Police Department at 612-726-5577 to file a theft report. The MSP Lost and Found Office is not able to investigate theft claims.
- Airlines are responsible for recovering items left on their aircraft or in gate areas and airline clubs. If you believe your item was lost in one of these spaces, please contact your airline to file a lost and found report. You can find a listing of airline contacts in the next section to start that process.
