Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is the federal agency responsible for securing U.S. transportation systems. Formed shortly following the tragedies of September 11, 2001, the agency is part of the Department of Homeland Security. The TSA is tasked with the screening of passengers and employees before they enter secured areas of the airport. The Airport Police Department works closely with the TSA. The agencies are committed to the deterrence of terrorism and work together to ensure a safe and secure environment for all users of MSP.

The TSA offers a local representative who can be reached by email: MSPcomments@tsa.dhs.gov
